Enforcement and Removing Content from Google

Piracymeter is committed to helping copyright holders protect their intellectual property. We continuously monitor the availability and use of your copyrighted motion pictures via the Internet, identifying any cases of unauthorized use. We provide you with a comprehensive overview of infringing URLs, enabling you to take proactive action to address these issues. Enforcement

To further assist you in combatting piracy, Piracymeter offers enforcement capabilities. By providing us with a Power of Attorney or Authorization Letter from the copyright holder, you can delegate the task of removing copyright infringing materials from Google search. This includes submitting notice and take-down letters to UGC and social media sites.

Setting Up Enforcement

To enable enforcement, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Authorize Piracymeter

Submit a valid Power of Attorney or Authorization Letter granting Piracymeter the authority to act on behalf of the copyright holder. For your convenience, a sample Authorization Letter is provided for your reference.

Step 2: Add Copyright Holder and Submit Document

Navigate to the 'Copyright Holders' page and add a new copyright holder. Upload the Power of Attorney or Authorization Letter as a PDF file. Specify the expiration date of the document (or leave it blank if it's indefinitely valid). If you wish to associate all new projects with this copyright holder, check the box that says “Associate new projects with this copyright holder”.

Step 3: Receive Approval

Our team will review the submitted documents and approve or deny the copyright holder request. You will receive an email notification once the approval is granted. The copyright holder's status will be updated to "Active" under the "Status" field.

Step 4: Ensure Your Project Has an Assigned Copyright Holder

If you added a copyright holder after creating a project, you need to link the copyright holder to the project.

To do this:

1. Go to the Projects section.

2. Select the project by checking the box next to it.

3. In the Group Actions menu, choose the appropriate copyright holder.

4. Click Apply.

Once assigned, you will see the copyright holder listed for the selected project in the project list.

Step 4: Disable Testing Mode to Start the Removal Process

To initiate the automated enforcement process, disable the "Testing Mode" option for the selected project.

When Testing Mode is enabled, the system will continue monitoring the project and collecting infringing URLs, but it will not:

• Remove infringing URLs from Google

• Send takedown notices to UGC platforms and social media networks

Make sure to disable Testing Mode to activate full enforcement and start the removal process.

Disabling Enforcement

You can temporarily disable autonomous enforcement by enabling the "Testing mode" option on the 'Projects' page. This will temporarily turn off the submission of copyright complaints to website operators, and service providers, including Google. By default, Testing mode is enabled.

By following these steps, you can effectively utilize Piracymeter's autonomous enforcement capabilities to address copyright infringement and protect your intellectual property.
